Styled Shoots

The workshop will consist of 2 styled shoots. The first will be styled like a luxury wedding and the second shoot will be more of an elopement style with a real couple and officiant. Professional decor, styling, hair, makeup, florals, wardrobe and experienced models will be provided. We will be recreating an actual wedding day environment by filming the couple getting ready and preparing their vows. One of the unique elements for this shoot is there will be ample opportunities to record live audio. The couple will have letter readings during the preps followed by their ceremony vow exchange as well as a reading by the officiant.

Here is an example of a styled shoot that I filmed in Joshua Tree. Rather than doing a typical styled shoot we found a real couple and asked them to do a vow renewal. We included unique touches such as using part of their original vows and their children were part of the ceremony. A potential couple looking to hire someone to film their elopement would probably never know that this was part of a styled shoot.

About the Photography Workshop

I’m excited to announce that Jeremy Chou Photography and I will be co-hosting this event! Jeremy will be teaching a group of 12 photographers all about the art and business of wedding fine art film photography. Jeremy, myself and our talented group of speakers will be presenting to both the photographers and videographers in the morning before splitting off into separate master classes. The styled shoot times will be separated into video and photo only segments to keep the class sizes small and give you ample time to film the models, decor and location.

If you are a photo/video team and are interested in attending send me an email and I can make special arrangements for you and offer you a discount code. Check out this behind the scenes video from one of his past workshops.
